Animation is the imagination laid bare for all to see, our own personal constructed realities shared with others, story telling in it's purest form, or just a bunch of funny shit drawn for people to laugh their arses off to. It's all good.

Shoot something in any computer video format, this was in .mov (quicktime format), then in flash go to File/Import/Import to stage. Select your video file, then follow the steps and eventually you will have the video appear in a flash movie. There are lots of little steps to follow, but I can't go through them all here... The main thing you need to choose is to "add frames to the stage".Look up a tutorial if you have trouble. Once you've got the movie on the stage in the timeline create a new layer above it, and trace away!

oh my god that is amazing!! wait, what are thouse crazy little squares that appear suddenly around the lines?....ahhhh i get... your dog has flies!!! get rid of them with some entomology product or a fly killing collar... that's what i did with my mine... is not cool to pet a poor parasite filled doggy :(

At times it looksa bit 3D, anyway awesome animation and damn does that tail move fast.
Crazy dog tail! It was a blur in the footage I was working off so I just used the old whip action animation technique and it looks about right! She's a machine, this dog!
I did one but it was with trees and a people and stuff it's kinda dumb...

Go to; File/import/import video, then follow the prompts. Go to the help files if they don't make sense, or search www.flashkit.com to find a tutorial to help you.

Looks awesome!.. But I guess it gets pretty hard if you're trying to trace a complex scene as an animation.. And that dog on my page is from Full Metal Alchemist (an anime). During a comedy scene, he (pretty sure it's a he) was misbehaving, so his owner - a good marksman - shot at the wall surrounding him to get him to "surrender" :P
Oh, I'll have to remember that... Shoot at the dog to settle her down. Gotcha! :D
My sister saw the compliation you made, she saw it like 2473378 times!! She really loved your animations.. and she is very crtitic and knows a lot about color, desing, etc.. She wanted me to tell you that :D

She is a desinger in clothing, and textiles. I remember she worked with some animators when she did a desing for a therapeutic room for children/babys with sleeping problems... So, how was Illustrators Australia's animation night? must have been supah cool showing your animation in a big screen? :D
Babies with sleeping problems? I hope she was working with the right animators, that could end up pretty scary! What if they used your stuff from the face collab? The babies would never sleep again! :O
It was great, only about 30 people but yeah, seeing it on a big screen and getting the peoples reactions was great!
